Questions, answered.
For customers
How do you decide the price?
By the size of the home, the shape it's in, pets, how often we come and how much time the crew needs. You get it in a written quote before the first clean. The pricing page lists the questions we ask.
What happens at the first visit, and how long does it take?
Two or three of us arrive together and walk the home with you, or with a text if you are out. Plan on half a day for a first clean in an average house. The quote says how many people and how many hours.
Do I need to be home? What about keys, codes and alarms?
No. Most clients are at work. Keys and codes follow the written policy: logged, never on a shared sheet, and returned or deleted when service ends. The Policies page has the details.
Who comes to my house, and are they your employees?
Your crew are Maple Street employees on payroll, and most are worker-owners. You get their first names before each visit. We don't use contractors or subcontractors.
Are you insured? Can I get a certificate?
We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation for the crew. Ask and we send a certificate of insurance to you or your landlord.
What if something is missed or broken?
Tell us within two days and we come back to fix what we missed, at no extra charge. If we break something, we repair or replace it, and our insurance covers the rest. The Policies page has the terms.
What if I need to cancel?
Tell us 48 hours ahead and it costs nothing. Inside 48 hours, or if the crew can't get in, the visit is billed as quoted.
For cleaners
Do I need experience to work here?
No. The first week is paid training with Kadiatu: products, tools, keys and codes, and working in someone's home. Experience helps, and we hire for reliability.
Are cleaners employees or contractors?
Employees. Everyone is on payroll from day one, with taxes withheld, a pay stub and workers' compensation. No 1099s and no app.
What does it take to become an owner?
After a trial period you can ask to join as a worker-owner: one share, one vote and a share of the year's profit. The buy-in is paid through small payroll deductions. Ask for the membership terms in writing.
Get your written quote.
Tell us about the home. Khanh calls or texts you, asks a few questions and sends the number in writing before anyone cleans.
